This does not have a resistor and is intended for use with factory wiring that has a battery warning light or factory resistor wire.
This wire is brown on early applications. If your vehicle had an SI, CS130, CS130D or AD series factory installed it will have a light, resistor wire or late models will be computer controlled.
It is recommended to check and replace the fusible link at the alternator or starter stud and nut connection point that leads to the original red wire on the 2 wire si alternator connector.
